LET’S TEACH ENGLISH (LTE)
Empowering Communities Through the Gift of Education
Let’s Teach English (LTE) is a flagship initiative of the APR Charitable Trust (ACT)—Adarsh Palm Retreat Charitable Trust, Bengaluru. Dedicated to creating brighter futures, LTE delivers structured literacy, language, and life-skills programs to transform lives across local communities.
Our Origin Story
For over a decade, the ACT Women Empowerment Team has served domestic helpers and their families in Adarsh Palm Retreat through literacy drives and community camps.
In December 2020, amid the challenges of the pandemic, ACT Lead Volunteer and APR resident Nipa Mehta envisioned a way to keep this mission alive. Supported by a dedicated group of resident volunteers, she launched Let’s Teach English as a free, distance-learning initiative.
What started as flexible, 1-on-1 phonics lessons over the phone has since expanded beyond APR to local schools and neighboring communities—igniting confidence and creating lasting change.
